University of Michigan is one of the campuses featured in Me, The “Other”and has been one of the film’s greatest supporters and champions. To date, the film has been screened for numerous departments on campus and we were thrilled to participate in last week’s staff training sessions by the University of Michigan HR (Human Resources) Department with a focus on raising awareness on Diversity & Inclusion issues on campus. There were two staff screenings scheduled at Ann Arbor’s historic The Michigan Theater where our film held its world premiere. These screenings were not open to the public but were attended by over 400 HR staff as a campus-wide effort to foster a deeper understanding of its diverse community of students and faculty. The screenings were followed by panel discussions featuring our film’s cast members: Christina Shannon, Javier Contreras-Uribe, Celia Tafatia-Yomba; and co-producer/director, Shidan Majidi, and associate producer, Sanam Arab. The success of the event has led to additional screenings on the campus in the coming months.
