“Tell us about something you’re proud of,” MTO associate producer, Sanam Arab, was asked by Michigan IT News.

“I volunteered as an associate producer on the documentary Me the Other,” Sanam replied. “Over 200 volunteers came together to make this documentary featuring the lives of 12 students from U-M, Eastern Michigan University, and Washtenaw Community College. It “set out to tell stories of prejudice, equality, and diversity and discovered that ‘otherness’ is never one thing.” After the success of the movie, the U-M Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion has funded and made available the educational cut of the movie for free to the U-M Community to watch until August 2021.”

Congratulations to Sanam on this inspiring profile. She is Manager of Technology Library at the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and you can read more about her enthusiastic and constructive approach to work and community in the full article here.
