Sanam Arab - Associate Producer

I was born in post-Islamic Revolution Iran to a family that challenged societal norms and believed in the importance of education. At 18, after growing up between Iran and France, I moved to America where I pursued my education at the University of Michigan and received a BA in History of Persian and Islamic Art; an MSI in Archives and Records Management focusing on Archives and Human Rights in Iran; and, a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies.

Since then, I worked at the University of Michigan for the Libraries and now, the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts’ Technology Services as their Manager of Technology Library. Moving between countries and cultures brought me to a different career and religious path from the rest of my family. I have felt as “the other” many times in my life. I have also learned that everyone at some point will experience the same feeling.

It’s an honor to be a part of this film with an inspiring cast and crew who exemplify through their diverse life experiences that we are members of one human family.
